Free Ways To Drive Traffic to Your Website

Now that I have a website, how do I get visitors?

Did you know that there are
more than 252,000 websites
created daily?

Don’t fret, over 80% of them are not-active,
and most likely never will be.

Still, though, that’s a lot of competition!

The best way to quickly stand out
is to start where people already are.

And that, my friend, is social media.

But what if you don’t “do” social media or
don’t know anything about it?
(Or, do know, but don’t like it!)

1. Optimize for SEO

Before you use social media, have at least your basic website done. Create posts about what you do. To earn customer trust, which translates to sales, you must answer two basic questions for the typical consumer:
1. Why do I need this service? A customer might already need roof repair if they have a leaky roof, so answer the question what would go wrong if I wait too long? Create urgency if the need is already there.
2. I know I need this service, but why should I choose YOU? Think back to any questions or reasons customers may have given when they are hesitating and answer those. Overcome any possible objections in the most positive, friendly and professional way.

This is the foundation for your home page or your about us page on your website. Add photos, especially before and after photos. Use alt text to describe photos. Be sure to use relevant keywords, meta descriptions, and alt text to improve your search engine rankings and attract organic traffic.

2. Create High-Quality Content

Publish engaging blog posts, videos, or infographics that provide value to your audience and encourage sharing.

3. Leverage Social Media

Share your content on platforms like X, LinkedIn, Tik-Tok and Instagram to reach a broader audience and drive clicks to your site.

4. Guest Blogging

Write for reputable websites in your niche to gain backlinks and expose your brand to new audiences.

5. Email Marketing

Send targeted newsletters with compelling content to drive repeat visits from your subscribers.

6. Improve Site Speed

Ensure your website loads quickly to enhance user experience and reduce bounce rates.

7. Use Internal Linking

Link to other pages on your site to keep visitors engaged and improve your SEO.

8. Engage in Online Communities

Participate in forums or groups related to your industry to build authority and drive traffic.

9. Repurpose Content

Turn blog posts into videos, podcasts, or social media snippets to reach different audiences.

10. Analyze and Adapt

Use tools like Google Analytics to track performance and refine your strategy based on what works.
